Some say they are descended from South African military horses that were scattered during a German bombing raid in WWI. Still others believe that the wife of Baron von Wolf let all his horses loose from their stables upon hearing of his death. <br /> <br /> Whatever their origin they now have freedom and fight each day to survive in seemingly hostile circumstances.
