  • I am so inspired by these amazing wild horses that survive in the vast Namib desert of Namibia. They can go as much as three days without water, and survive on whatever food they find. <br /> <br /> There is an air of mystery concerning the origins of these horses. Some believe they came from horses that survived shipwrecks along the skeleton coast of Namibia. Some say they are descended from South African military horses that were scattered during a German bombing raid in WWI. Still others believe that the wife of Baron von Wolf let all his horses loose from their stables upon hearing of his death. <br /> <br /> Whatever their origin they now have freedom and fight each day to survive in seemingly hostile circumstances.
